Our Faculty
Currently, there are 29 teachers in the department of mobility engineering, among which there are 9 professors, 8 associate professors and 12 lecturers. The proportion of teachers with PhD degree is 88%. The staff in mobility engineering laboratory work together with the teachers of transportation engineering major for theoretical and experimental lectures, including 3 senior engineers and 4 engineers. Among all the faculties, we have 1 State-Council Allowance Obtained expert, 1 team leader of the Innovation and Education Ministry, 1 consulting expert of the Emergency Management Department, 1 Shaanxi Province Hundred Talents Program, 1 Shaanxi Province Thousand Talents Program, 1 New Century Talent of the Ministry of Education, 1 Huo Yingdong Funding winner and 2 "New Century Talents" from the Ministry of Communications. A faculty team is therefore be formed leading by well-known professors and supported by the young and middle-aged doctors. Besides, 12 well-known industry experts have been hired as external instructors.
There are great quantity of laboratories and bases are established, including 3 provincial and ministerial laboratories like the Key Laboratory of Automobile Transportation Safety Technology and Ministry of Transportation; the National Road Transportation Engineering Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, 2 National Road Transportation Engineering Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, 2 Intelligent Networked Vehicle 2 national-level virtual simulation teaching projects such as the “Safe Distance Monitoring and Collision Avoidance Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Project”, 3 excellent resource sharing courses such as “Automobile Application Engineering”, 2 provincial-level practice bases such as “Intelligent Bus Shaanxi Province University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Education Base”. Additionally, we have the unique comprehensive automobile performance test field among the domestic colleges and universities with human-vehicle-road-environment three-dimensional dynamic simulation system, 80 sets of large-scale equipment like electric vehicle test and research system, which covering an area of 450 acres.
The major maintains close cooperation with universities such as the University of Dublin in Ireland, the Technical University of Brunswick in Germany, and the University of Michigan in the United States. The level of international education is highly improved through joint school management, teacher academic visits, and state-financed study abroad.
